School Standards Admin Support Officer \xe2\x80\x93 Bromley

Salary: \xc2\xa3 16.43 Per Hour

Full Time: Monday to Friday \xe2\x80\x93 09:00am to 17:00pm

Role Purpose:

  • To provide direct support to the Head of Service for Early Years, School Standards and Adult Education and the School Standards Team, and act as the single point of contact for Bromley Schools.
Responsibilities:
  • To provide a professional response to telephone callers dealing sensitively with confidential matters, including from Head Teachers, Governors, Senior Managers, Councillors, parents and members of the public responding to enquiries and requests as appropriate.
  • Provide administrative support for school standards meetings, including scheduling, room booking, preparation and circulation of approved agenda, ensuring attendees have all relevant paperwork, drafting and circulating minutes for approval and information.
  • Preparation and production of a wide range of documents using a range of software including word processing and Excel, ensuring required papers and reports are produced to agreed deadlines and in the correct format.
  • To act as the key administrator for the Bromley Education Matters website with regard to its development and content, advising on page layout, creating editable pages consistent in design, navigation and functionality and act as webpage editor for all the school standards and associated partners pages
  • To be responsible for the publishing and distribution process of the biweekly School Circular newsletter. modifying the template as required, including layout, chasing for copy and seeking Director approval for release
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of school standards related events or programmes, e.g. conferences and training events, confirming delegates, booking venues, travel and refreshments, preparing paperwork such as PowerPoint presentations, publicity flyers, printing of registers and maintaining records of attendance
  • To provide administration and technical support prior to and during online training and networking events for School Standards activity, including conferences, SACRE and RSE events, including facilitation of breakout rooms
  • To work with the Workforce Development Administrative Assistant to manage the course bookings for school standards training events, uploading and updating course information on the Bromley Education Matters website processing enrolments, payments, transfers and cancellations.
  • To monitor and manage group email boxes on behalf of the School Standards team, including School Standards inbox, Covid 19 Education Queries, BEM Queries, and Moderation Queries, responding to requests as appropriate.
  • To help set up and maintain the School Standards public SharePoint page ensuring content remains current.
  • Prepare and present management or performance information to required deadlines.
  • To take a lead role in the commissioning of school support under the guidance of the Head of Service and Head of School Standards, including the procurement of external moderators both LA and school based.
  • To undertake financial processes in relation to purchasing, payments, and reconciliation of goods, services and contracts, and invoicing for services provided to schools as required, adhering to Financial Regulations. Accurately verify and process invoices and orders for approval by the budget holder and ensure that departmental financial and administrative procedures are observed at all times.
  • To assist the Head of Service for Early Years, School Standards and Adult Education in the maintenance of staff records and service performance measures e.g. Compliments and Complaints, , schools
