Job Description

iTeach are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic School Technician to join our growing team in Cardiff. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing essential IT support to schools, both on-site and remotely, ensuring their computer hardware, software, and network systems function smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:



1st line support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for school customers, maintaining a professional and customer-focused demeanour. Ticket management: Manage raised tickets and keep our Helpdesk and CRM systems up to date, ensuring tasks are completed within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) time frames. On-site & remote support: Provide IT support to customers both on-site and remotely, delivering timely and effective solutions. Team collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members, providing support as needed and collaborating on larger projects. Workload management: Prioritise and manage multiple tickets, tasks, and mini-projects simultaneously. Equipment setup: Build, configure, and install PCs and laptops, providing follow-up support as necessary. Operating system support: Provide support for Windows OS, Mac OS, Chrome OS as well as productivity platforms such as Office 365 and Google Workspace. Software installation: Install and manage software applications across multiple devices. Printer & AV support: Troubleshoot and support printers, scanners, photocopiers, and audio-visual equipment used in schools. Mobile Device Management (MDM): Assist in managing and maintaining mobile devices in the school environment.

Qualifications Required:



5 GCSEs Grade A-C or equivalent Level 2 qualifications on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.

Or

Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.

Desirable Skills:



A-level in IT or an equivalent qualification. Intune & Autopilot Experience: Experience enrolling devices into Autopilot and managing devices via Microsoft Intune. Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems: Managing mobile devices in a professional setting. Familiarity with network troubleshooting and basic server support. Knowledge of IT security best practices, particularly in a school environment. Experience in supporting Wi-Fi networks.
