Responsibilities: As a Science Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons to students aged 11 to 16, following the national curriculum guidelines. You will inspire students through hands-on experiments, encourage critical thinking skills, and develop their understanding of scientific principles. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Planning and preparing lessons in line with curriculum objectives
  • Assessing and providing constructive feedback on student progress
  • Maintaining accurate records of student performance and attendance
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching methods
  • Participating in school-wide activities and events
  • Providing guidance and support to students to enhance their academic and personal development
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
  • Specialization in Science, with a degree in a relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum for Science at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Previous experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting (NQTs are welcome to apply)
  • Passion for science education and the ability to inspire students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
