Role Overview: As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality lessons and develop students\' scientific knowledge and understanding. You will play a pivotal role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, tailoring your teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons to students with special educational needs
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students\' curiosity and enthusiasm for science
  • Differentiate teaching methods and resources to accommodate students with varying abilities and learning styles
  • Assess students\' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
  • Collaborate with the school\'s multidisciplinary team to develop individual education plans and provide additional support where needed
  • Foster a love for science and promote the application of scientific knowledge in real-life situations
Requirements:
  • A degree in Science or a related field (Qualified teacher status - QTS - is desirable but not mandatory)
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary school or college level, preferably with experience working with students with special educational needs
  • A deep understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of students
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
