Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our established UK business The Zip Yard Lisburn road.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for sewing and a keen eye for detail.

You'll need to be an 'all rounder' with your seamstress / tailoring skills and you'll have to meet specific time frames and be able to produce a high quality of work.

Duties

Operate various sewing machines, alter, and repair garments and textile products. Trouser & skirt shortening ability Jacket sleeves shortening Trouser tapering Waist alterations Dress reshaping Re-positioning of zip Re-lining of Jacket or coat Evening dress alteration (take in sides, move straps, shorten with vent) Working with Leather

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Seamstress or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in various sewing techniques and familiarity with different types of fabrics. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques or processes as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
