BARISTA & FOH TEAM MEMBER ROLE



This role is seasonal - From 21st July until 21st September 2025.

Your responsibilities



As a Barista and FOH TM you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional service to our customers. You will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages to the Supervisors standards. Assisting customers with their orders and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the cafe. Additionally, you will handle front-of-house duties such as taking orders, processing payments as and when required.

A summary of duties



Operations Support



To work closely with our established Baristas & FOH Supervisors; to keep communication avenues open and therefore ensuring a successful day trade.

To run the barista station for the business alongside our baristas, ensuring the best quality coffees for our customers

To create consistently great latte art

Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions about our coffee menu and providing recommendations based on their preferences.

Quality control at all points of production

Allergen control at all points of production

Keeping a safe and diligent barista station and storing all goods/sweets/food as appropriate.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling standards, and sanitation procedures at all times.

FOH TEAM MEMBER DUTIES



Operations & Financial



To work to the Managing Directors & FOH Supervisors standards

To keep communication avenues open, professional, and positive with all staff within the company

Using our POS & booking software, taking card payments (matching to table/bill), and handling cash as appropriate.

Customer Service



To welcome and care for our customers, ensuring a successful service every time, and ensure repeat custom.

Meeting & greeting customers.

Serve customers in a friendly, relaxed & professional manner, and in-keeping with the brand values.

To raise any service issues, concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to the Manager/Supervisor for their resolution.

Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and strive to exceed customer expectations.

To be positive & hands-on in your approach

Food & Beverage/Stock Management



Serving customers at the table, taking food & beverage orders confidently and accurately.

Assisting with allergy & intolerance advice and dealing with strictly - alerting to your manager.

Making suggestions based on our menu and customers wants.

Provide excellent menu and product knowledge and express a passion for the brand the products we serve.

Quality control at all points of service

To ensure stock is correctly rotated, day dotted, and front faced (FIFO routine). As instructed by your manager.

H&S / Due Diligence



To implement all our H&S policies & procedures.

To always comply with licensing laws.

Maintain cleanliness standards and carry out cleaning tasks as delegated by your manager.

To clean as you go, adhering to all due diligence.

To ensure the wellbeing of all our staff by maintaining an organised, clean, and safe workplace.

To have an understanding of allergens and allergy control - Attending any training as required.

What You Offer:



Previous experience as a barista in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Proven barista skills with established latte art flair.

Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy cafe setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Barista certification or training is a plus.

Level 2 Food Handling would be desirable but can be provided

Experience in a similar setting. The ability to work in a team effectively. Computer literacy and familiarity with hospitality systems/soft wear. A positive, friendly outlook, and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: 12.21-12.39 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week
