Job Title: Seasonal Part-Time (Freelance) Horticultural / Garden Assistant

Overview:
We are currently seeking a Horticultural or Garden Assistant to support our garden maintenance team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks related to general garden maintenance & seasonal garden clearance tasks .

Responsibilities:
- Assist in garden maintenance tasks such as weeding, planting, splitting, shaping, pruning, general garden maintenance & clearance tasks.
- Use hand tools for gardening activities.
- Support in regular maintenance visits to client's in the Tavistock area (within 15 miles) with the ability to work on your own and/or as part of a team.
- Assist in grounds-keeping duties including mowing (if applicable), edging, and strimming.
- Utilise power tools for garden maintenance under supervision.
- Be able to transport yourself & tools to client's address when working solely.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in garden maintenance or horticulture is advantageous and commands a higher hourly rate.
- Knowledge of using hand tools for gardening activities.
- Familiarity with plant growing techniques.
- Ability to work well in a team environment & working on your own with instructions.
- Basic understanding of garden maintenance practices & power tools, eg lawn mower & strimmer.
- Must have own transport & full driving licence.
