Overview

Based on a 4 day working week. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Second/Head Chef to lead our kitchen team . The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to food safety and quality. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of taste and presentation while fostering a positive and efficient working environment.

Duties

Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock without over-purchasing. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering their professional development in culinary skills and hospitality practices. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction. Handle any kitchen-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Excellent leadership abilities with experience supervising a diverse team. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
