Job Description

Main duties of the job:

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to GPs and clinical staff, - Prepare and type correspondence, referral letters and reports for clinical and non-clinical purposes - Ensure referrals are processed eficiently using the electronic referrals system (ERS) and other referral routes as necessary - Maintain an accurate 2 week urgent referral database - Process requests for information eg SAR, insurance, solicitors letters and DVLA forms - Process patient letter requests and invoice for private work accordingly - scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient medical records - Liaise with hospitals, community services and external agencies regarding patient referrals and information requests - To efficiently administer the movement of patient medical records to and from the surgery and liaising with PCSE where necessary. - To summarise patient records being received into the surgery for newly registered patients - To maintain and update medical records accurately and confidentially in line with GDPR and NHS guidelines - Support the Reception Manager with admin tasks to enable the efficient working of reception - Provide an excellent customer service to patients
