The Role

We are seeking a talented Security and Infrastructure Engineer to join our forward-thinking IT team at our cutting-edge Coventry headquarters. This is a pivotal, well-funded role where you'll lead the security of IT operations across the group, while also supporting, innovating, maintaining, and implementing a wide range of infrastructure, network, server, cloud, and SaaS solutions.

You'll also act as a 3rd line escalation point, a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for infrastructure topics, and a mentor to others in the team--helping upskill and motivate colleagues to ensure we deliver best-in-class support to our users.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end security of IT operations across the business. Design, implement, and support infrastructure including networking, cloud services, servers, SaaS platforms, and DR strategy. Assess current and future technological needs and help shape the technological strategy to meet the business's evolving demands. Provide 3rd line support for complex issues related to infrastructure and end-user computing. Act as an SME for all infrastructure-related queries across departments. Lead on security strategy and innovation, ensuring systems remain state-of-the-art. Coach and mentor junior team members, developing capability across the IT function. Collaborate with the wider technology team and senior leadership to support Kite's growth strategy. Manage and develop relationships with external providers.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in IT security and infrastructure engineering - preferably backed by a relevant degree. Proven experience in strategic planning and execution. Strong troubleshooting skills and 3rd line support experience. Experience in leading, mentoring and developing team members. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, ambitious environment. A proactive, security-first mindset with a passion for continuous improvement. Relevant certifications such as ITIL v4 or PRINCE2 are highly desirable.
