Experienced Dog Handlers - Birmingham area

As experts in the delivery of security services on major construction and infrastructure projects throughout the UK, we are currently recruiting for professional, motivated dog handlers to deploy to one of our prestigious construction projects in Birmingham.
Main Responsibilities
Ensure the personal safety of both you, your staff, contractors and other visitors to the project.
To ensure the safe access and egress of all personnel on and off the project. This includes ensuring that biometric procedures are complied with and any hard/software issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
Ensure an excellent level of customer service is delivered at all times, respond positively to any/all incidents throughout the project and be conscious of all visitors to the site.
Complete incident reports and followed defined escalation processes for any incidents that occur on site.
Highlight areas of risk on the project and liaise with client representatives to ensure appropriate actions are taken to mitigate the risk.
Report faults, Health & Safety issues and escalate any complaints to the client's appointed person.
Undertake regular patrols of site with K9 unit.
What must you have?
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Experience of a customer facing role and the importance of good interaction with senior clients, contractors and visitors.
Understanding and implementation of emergency procedures and client escalation protocols.
The ability to prioritise your workload and to remain calm and focused when in a pressurised environment.
The ability to calm and diffuse difficult situations and to be able to forge excellent relationships with staff and colleagues.
An understanding of Health and safety law and its importance within the construction industry.
NASDU accreditation and training documents.
Qualifications required:
NVQ Level 2 Award for working as a Door Supervisor or Security Officer
SIA Licensed Security Operative in either of the above sectors
NASDU accreditation and training documents.
Full 5-year checkable work history in accordance with BS:7858
Current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service)
What else would we like to see?
Preferred 3 years working experience within the relevant sector.
Conflict Management and Physical intervention training.
Current First Aid at Work certified.
Experience of working in a team-orientated, fast moving environment.
Shift Pattern & Remuneration:
Sat & Sun days, 07:00 & Mon to Wed nights, 19:00-07:00 (60hrs)
Thu to Sun nights, 19:00-07:00 (48hrs)
12.96/hr PAYE
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.96 per hour
Expected hours: 42 per week
