Working Hours: Monday-Friday from 07:00 to 17:00 (excluding bank holiday's)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Manager to join our team and oversee all aspects of security on site. The Security Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our employees, assets, and facilities. This position requires a strong background in security management, risk assessment, and the ability to develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:



Security Strategy:

Develop and implement a strategic security plan aligned with the company's objectives, taking into consideration current security threats and industry best practices. Also, to include the dynamics of the building and localised threat and crime.

Security Policies and Procedures

: Create and enforce security policies and procedures to protect company personnel, assets, and data. Regularly review and update these policies to address evolving security challenges. Preparing and reviewing security assignment instructions and other documents like standard operating procedures.

Security Operations:

Oversee day-to-day security operations, including access control, surveillance systems, and incident response. Ensure compliance with security protocols and standards. Ensuring the highest levels of service and customer focus is met throughout all the stakeholders of the building.

Risk Assessment:

Conduct regular security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats. Develop mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks.

Security Training:

Provide security awareness training to employees and contractors to promote a culture of security vigilance throughout the organization. Encouraging, mentoring and development staff and the team to enhance security practices and engage with each task methodologically.

Emergency Response:

Develop and maintain an emergency response plan, including protocols for dealing with natural disasters, security breaches, and other critical incidents. Conduct drills and training exercises as necessary. This involves practice fire evacuations, bomb and terror attack practices, emergency first aid administration etc.

Security Investigations:

Lead and coordinate security investigations in response to security incidents or breaches. Work closely with law enforcement and other relevant authorities as needed.

Compliance:

Stay up to date with national legislation and regulations related to security. Ensure the company's security practices remain compliant with all relevant requirements.

Team Management:

Manage the teams shifts, holiday and overtime requests. Also, have monthly one-on-ones with each member of the team to ensure sustainability and continuous development and improvement of each staff member. Providing additional support to staff who may need more training.

HR:

completing all set HR tasks by your line manager and contract management time. This will include staff appraisal, probation review meetings, investigatory meetings and all other core staff related HR matters. All matters can be escalated immediately to your line manager and HR if they cannot be dealt with a on-site. Also, managing staff expectations.

Operating Systems:

Operating various software and tools provided to you by your employer to manage staff performance and the day-to-day operations of the team and well as the building to meet the expectations of all stakeholders. Such as Timegate rostering, Patrol Management reports, CCTV & Access Control reports, e-DOB and accident, incident & near miss reporting etc.

Skills & Experience Required:



Minimum of 7 year's experience in the Security Industry. Minimum of 3 year's experience in Security Management and People Management. Good People Development & Management. Excellent Customer Service Delivery. Good Problem Solving Solutions. Good Speaking & Listening Skills. Ability to complete individual and team set tasks. Excellent Report Writing & IT/Computing Skills. Outstanding Personal Appearance, Etiquette & Grooming Standard. Project/Task Management & Working well under pressure. Timekeeping & Time Management Skills. Mentoring & Development. Client Engagement & KPI meetings. Operating and Managing Timegate or equivalent rostering software. Operating and Managing Reslink or equivalent patrol management software. Operating and Managing e-DOB or equivalent Dashboard programme. Operating and Managing Skill Cast (training platform) or equivalent.

Qualifications Required:



Minimum Accredited Health & Safety Qualification or IOSH. Valid SIA Security Guard or Door Supervisor License (mandatory) Valid SIA CCTV License (mandatory) Valid First Aid at Work (mandatory) Valid Mental Health First Aid at Work (Preferable) Valid Fire Mashal Qualification/Fire Warden Qualification or Fire Safety Equivalent Qualification. ACT Awareness & ACT Security Certificate. Security Management Qualifications Level 3 or Equivalent Qualifications (preferable). Customer Service Excellence or World Host Training or Equivalent.
