Our client is currently recruiting a Security Operations Manager to join their growing operations team.


Job description:



As Security Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing security operations for a portfolio of client sites. You will be the face of the company for both our front-line officers, clients and partners, making operationally critical decisions daily. This is a role for someone who likes variety and has the commercial acumen to manage expectations and deliver for both staff and clients. Our client aims to build long lasting relationships by demonstrating that they deliver to consistently high standards and can adapt to any change in threat level.


Key responsibilities



Mobilisations/de-mobilisations:



Oversee the setup & deployment of security personnel & equipment at existing and new sites, ensuring all operational protocols and safety standards are met.


Co-ordinate the systematic withdrawal of security resources from the client sites on clients instructions, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and site security is maintained until the final handover.


People management:



Leading a specialist security team in support of the company's Security portfolio + Responsible for leading and managing a team of circa 40 members of staff, ensuring they display the highest standards of professionalism + Managing staff welfare, health and safety
Maintaining and enforcing up-to-date training on modern security practices, including commercial security and security industry legislation Overseeing recruitment and onboarding of front-line officers

Security operations management:



Developing comprehensive operating plans outlining goals, objectives and key performance measures to be achieved, with input from multiple stakeholders Leading stakeholder analysis activity as part of managing multiple relationships across company functions, clients and partners Supporting delivery of premium security services, while managing staff and client expectations Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing them with expert advice on security best practices Managing security challenges, continually evaluating threats and assessing vulnerabilities to clients and client sites Completing regular site plans, reports and presentations as required Implementing clear operating procedures (SOPs) and KPIs for each site within the portfolio Driving continuous improvement and managing risks that could impact future business Maintaining high personal standards as well as those of the deployed Officers

Compliance:



Conducting contract auditing and performance reviews of sites, systems and documentation Ensuring compliance with site and contract documentation and policies Operating in accordance with industry-relevant regulations, legislation, and organisations Producing, maintaining, and reviewing policies, procedures, and operational tactics

About the ideal candidate



Qualifications:



The ideal candidate would have the following skills/ qualifications:


Professional qualification with a relevant recognised body e.g. CPP, PSP, Security Institute Member (MSyl) or Chartered Security Professional (CSyP) Valid Front Line SIA Licence

Additional:



Participation in a shared on-call rota, to assist dealing with out-of-hour queries

Requirements:



The ideal candidate will have the following:


Willingness to be added to an on-call rota, shared by all Operations Managers, to help deal with out-of-hour queries Frontline SIA licence Experience of working in the private sector Knowledge of the security industry and managing large scale commercial security contracts Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with various departments Excellent organisational and communication skills Adept at managing internal and external stakeholders Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with various departments A good understanding and experience of staff rostering Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office suite
