Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Security Operations Manager to oversee the effective management of a portfolio of contracts. This will involve organising the deployment of security personnel across designated sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of premises, personnel, and assets while maintaining operational efficiency. This role requires the ability to deploy staff, conduct site visits, and manage security operations to meet the highest standards. This will also involve an experienced knowledge and understanding of large scale events, crowd dynamics and event management.

Key Responsibilities:



Deployment of Security Personnel:

Manage and coordinate the deployment of security staff to various designated sites using management systems based on operational requirements, ensuring adequate coverage and staffing levels. Implementing effective strategies to ensure fulfilment of allocations such as overbooking.

Conduct Site Visits:

Regularly visit sites to monitor and assess security operations, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures. Briefing operatives on site, providing toolbox talks and enforcing training milestones.

Staff Supervision and Management:

Supervise security staff, providing guidance, support & Identifying training needs. Conduct performance reviews and address any staffing issues promptly. Working alongside and integrally with HR, Recruitment & Vetting to ensure effective workforce is appointed to sites.

Incident Management:

Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring that all situations are handled promptly and efficiently. Investigate any breaches of security and implement corrective actions as required.

Client Liaison:

Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their security needs are met and maintaining a positive client relationship. Handling complaints. Enforcing procedural change to ensure satisfaction of client. Progress meetings with clients on a minimum of a quarterly basis.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare regular reports on security operations, incidents, and staff performance. Ensure all records are maintained in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Ensure timesheets are promptly completed to aid in invoices being sent within a timely manner.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure all security operations comply with relevant health and safety regulations, carrying out risk assessments and implementing necessary measures.

Operational Improvement:

Identify areas for improvement within security operations, recommending and implementing strategies to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Contracts Management:

Ensure contracts are run efficiently to ensure optimal profitability whilst maintain or exceeding Key Performance Indicators set and agreed with client.

Skills and Qualifications:



Proven experience in security management or operations, with at least 5 years in a similar role. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and direct staff. In-depth knowledge of security procedures, risk assessment, and incident response protocols. Ability to manage multiple sites and coordinate resources effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, staff, and external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure. Relevant security qualifications (e.g., SIA License, first aid, or similar) are preferred. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites as required. Experienced knowledge and understanding of large-scale events, crowd dynamics and event management. Have a dynamic approach to Risk Management and problem solving

Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
