The Role
We are looking for a confident and experienced Security Operations Manager to lead and oversee our field operations. This is a pivotal role within the business, responsible for ensuring smooth service delivery, regulatory compliance, and driving business growth through operational excellence and strong client relationships.
This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional with strategic vision, hands-on management skills, and a deep understanding of the fire and security industry.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee security operations across client sites around East Anglia.
Manage, train, and supervise the engineering team, maintaining high performance standards and meeting KPIs.
Schedule all engineering work including site visits, installations, maintenance, and remedial actions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety standards.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational protocols and procedures.
Conduct regular site audits, quotations, surveys, and risk assessments.
Maintain and grow strong client relationships to ensure contract success and retention.
Lead contract negotiations and support business development initiatives.
Monitor KPIs, operational metrics, and incident reports for performance management.
Act as the lead contact for emergency responses, incidents, and operational crises.
Travel regularly to client sites to oversee operations and build strong client rapport.
Ensure timely billing following completion of works.
Report to and collaborate with the General Manager to ensure the strategic objectives of the business are met.
Experience & Skills
? A minimum of 3 years' experience in a security management role.
? Proven success in contract negotiations and business development.
? Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams across multiple locations.
? Advanced knowledge of UK security regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
? Proficiency in fire, security, and CCTV systems.
? Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements
Full UK driving licence (essential for travel requirements).
