Job Overview



We are hiring a reliable and customer-focused Site Security Manager (SSM) to join an award-winning business that has built a reputation for outstanding security services, based on its collaborative and innovative approach, coupled with the utilisation of highly professional and experienced Security Officers. The role entails carrying out security-related duties with responsibility for supervising the security team and contract-related administration at a unique and prestigious site on the outskirts of Theale village. The candidate will require their own vehicle as the site cannot be reached by public transport.

The position is required to work as part of a 4 on/ 4 off shift pattern while undertaking additional management duties in accordance with client direction and FSI Assignment Instructions. The SSM will report to the area Operations Manager. The annual salary for the position is 40,00.00.

Management and Supervisory responsibilities of the contract:



Supervisory responsibility of all security officers assigned to the contract. Significant interaction with FSI Head Office, Operation staff and the Account Director. Closely liaise with the FSI Management Team and client representatives as the first point of contact for all security matters. Conduct staff Welfare Checks on a regular basis and Performance Reviews as and when required. Ensure that officer training records are available and up to date and deliver site-specific training including Induction training and Toolbox Talks. Monitor and contribute to the development of all security personnel under your supervision. Request training, uniform, PPE and equipment when required, maintaining records of issue. Ensure that FSI Assignment Instructions and H&S documentation are in place, up to date, and accessible to the site security teams. Adhere to and implement FSI Policy and Procedures at all times, whilst ensuring site teams are fully compliant. Monitor Daily KPI and shift reports, addressing any issues, discrepancies, or anomalies at the earliest opportunity. To undertake investigations when required, including enhanced incident reporting and Investigation meetings with FSI personnel in accordance with HR Policy. To assess and report potential safety hazards so that remedial action may be taken. To arrange penetration testing and scenario exercises in coordination with the FSI Management Team and client representatives. Planning, monitoring and updating rotas for all regional security contracts, ensuring that all shifts are covered by suitably trained officers in a timely manner. Uploading rota schedules to TrackTik in an accurate and timely manner, liaising with FSI Watchkeeper if needed. Manage a holiday schedule for the contract, ensuring that annual leave is coordinated and suitable cover is booked, before signing off on holiday requests. Flexible and willing to attend training and cover shifts as required, including night and weekend duties. Delivers the relevant KPI standards for the contract.

To comply with all duties as outlined in the site assignment instructions and client-issued procedures. Including but not limited to

:

Carry foot and vehicle patrolling duties. Access management including gatehouse operations. Incident response and reporting, ensure all Security Incident/Loss/Accident Reports are completed in a timely manner. Compliance with Emergency and escalation procedures. CCTV and BMS alarm response and controls. Key management. Provide a visible deterrent and remain vigilant at all times. Have a working knowledge of H&S, with the ability to assess and report potential safety hazards so that remedial action may be taken. Excellent customer service skills, experience working in a corporate environment or a front-of-house role is highly desirable. The ability to work independently or as a team, lone working will be part of this role. Accountable and responsible, understanding your critical role as the first response in protecting the property and assets. Calm under pressure, ability to respond and escalate matters according to procedure. Respond to ad hoc management and client-set tasks as required. Undertake regular training to ensure expert knowledge of the site procedures. Must be computer literate. Excellent level of English both written and spoken. 3 years minimum experience in the security industry or compatible work experience, such as military or policing background. A minimum of the last 5 years' residence within the UK. Applicant must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence and CCTV licence. Flexibility with shifts as this role will include working days and nights, Monday to Sunday. Any job offers are conditional upon the successful candidate applying for and receiving an Enhanced DBS certification.

Strong interpersonal skills - building trust and support. Excellent communication skills - written and oral. Strong IT skills, especially proficient in Microsoft Office. Supervisory experience with at least 3 years' experience in the security industry. Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence and CCTV licence. A UK Driving Licence is essential. Desirable - Institution of Occupational Safety and Health(IOSH) qualification. The candidate must provide a complete employment history covering the past five years.
