The post - REQ000271 - Security Supervisor



We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Supervisor to join the team here at UWS. You will be responsible for day-to-day operational management and strategic delivery of a high-quality university security operations, with a focus on staff and student wellbeing and safety on campus.

The successful candidate will supervise the security team and be the subject matter expert on all aspects of security. They will be the first point of contact for any escalations that may occur and will be responsible for managing the control room operations.

Leading the team, the postholder will set up the necessary resource and appropriate levels of personnel cover to ensure a smooth campus operation. As well as this the Security Supervisor will work closely with the security services manager to continually review SOP, security KPI's and security planning for events.

The successful candidate should have the following:
Relevant security experience at a supervisory or instructor level. Undergone security training and a willingness to complete Highfield Level 3 Management of Security Licence within 3 months of appointment. First Aid at Work valid qualification Fire safety / management of fire safety valid qualification or relevant experience in this area. Experience of providing security supervision within a university or similar setting within an operational security environment. A working knowledge of CCTV operation and its data management. A proven track record of supervising a team of staff to deliver high quality customer services in order to meet operational aims and objectives. Familiarity in security planning for operational success An understanding of emergency service management.
