The Role
We are seeking an additional qualified Security Systems Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work with a respected, accredited company that values quality workmanship and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of security systems (and fire alarm systems and extinguishers potentially) across commercial, residential, and institutional properties
Carry out small works installations and system upgrades
Diagnose and repair faults on security systems (and fire alarm systems potentially)
Respond to service calls and ensure systems meet compliance standards
Work with leading security brands including Orisec, Texecom, Pyronix, Castle, Galaxy and Honeywell
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Provide excellent customer service and professional representation of the company
Support emergency callout rota as required
Coverage Area
Primarily covering the South East of England including Essex, London, and Kent, with occasional travel to wider service areas.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience
as a Security Systems Engineer
Experience of Fire Alarms
and / or Fire Extinguishers is a bonus
BTEC Level 3
in security/intruder alarm systems
FIA training
for fire alarm systems and extinguishers
Valid UK driving license
Experience working with NSI Gold standard systems
A strong understanding of fire legislation and compliance requirements is a bonus
Technical Skills
Proficient in maintenance and fault-finding on:
Intruder alarm systems
CCTV systems
Access control systems
Gates and Barriers is a bonus
Familiarity with cloud-based and mobile app-enabled systems
Ability to work with various system brands and technologies
IT skills
