Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse qualified in inhalation sedation to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas according to health and safety regulations.
Manage appointment schedules, ensuring efficient use of time for both patients and the dental team.
Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, fostering a positive environment within the practice.
Support administrative tasks as required, including managing patient enquiries and assisting with billing processes.
Requirements
Qualified Dental Nurse with sedation certifications or equivalent experience.
Strong IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
Proficient in English with excellent verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding patient care with empathy and professionalism.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to manage individual responsibilities effectively.
Days Required
Tuesday - 08.30-18.15
Thursday - 08.30-18.15
One Sunday per month 09.00-15.00
