Covering the whole of Stoke on Trent and further afield Matthews Roofing Ltd. is looking for the ideal candidates to assist with a busy workload.

The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting in installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of buildings. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a range of tools and techniques, and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship in the construction industry. The position is fully paid and suitable for individuals with a passion for construction and roofing.

Responsibilities

Assisting in loading and unloading roofing materials, ensuring they are stored safely and efficiently Preparing work areas by clearing debris, setting up equipment and securing safety measures Support skilled roofers in installing, repairing and maintaining roofing systems Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team mates Accurately measure and cut roofing materials to the required dimensions as directed by supervisors Keep a clean and organised job site, removing waste material and debris throughout the project Continuously learn from experienced team members to improve skills and knowledge in roofing practices Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions
Starting rate will be 120 per day, after a small probationary period this rate will be reviewed dependant on skills and quality of work completed.

Tools and equipment can be provided if the candidate does not hold these. CSCS card holders and preferable, but training and certification can be arranged for the right candidate.
