We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Self employed Construction Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently. A CSCS Card will be mandatory and an IPAF is desired. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic environment. This position is rarely based locally and will require the candidate to travel around the country with over night stays. Hotel rooms will be provided. Vehicles are supplied and a full drivers licence is essential.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris and setting up equipment.
Carry out manual labour tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials
Operate basic hand tools, power tools and machinery under supervision. Full training given.
Follow instructions from site supervisors and contribute to team efforts.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed whilst learning skills such as scaffolding and safety netting and therefore elevating your skills and potential earnings.
Drive to and from required sites across the UK.
Work away from home up to 5 days a week.
Experience
Previous experience in construction or similar manual labour roles is advantageous but not essential.
Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment is a plus.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
A good level of physical fitness is required for this role due to the demanding nature of the work.
Drivers licence is essential.
CSCS card required.
IPAF desired.
