Job Overview

We are looking for a part-qualified, minimum NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy, beautician to partner with us, for initial estimate of 6 months on a self-employed basis (driving license not required, don't know why Indeed generated this as default requirement). We are renting a clinic room for treatments (can't guarantee we will remain there for 6 months, our rental contract is reviewed every 6 months and the owner might terminate early if there are any contractual breaches/bad reviews/reputational damage), and the afternoon and evening shift are already assigned to someone else, and we need someone to cover the morning shift. 6am to 12pm Sundays (6 hour) shift is available. If you can't do six hours in the morning, we would potentially accept a minimum of three hours, or even alternative Sunday mornings.

To help cover expenses during this 2 hour interview, our company is willing to pay a maximum capped fee of 30.00 for the estimate two hours and 15 minutes interview in beauty room completing interview related tasks ( if it takes you longer than this to complete the tasks, we won't pay you any extra).

You must also have valid insurance to provide one or more of the following: facials (including massage), and waxing. Having manicure and pedicure, nail services, makeup training and experience would also be a bonus, but not mandatory.

Our pledge is to share minimum 70 (default), to maximum 80 percent (while negotiable, will depend on evidence of what number and quality of clients and/or social media followers you already have, and the final decision is at the sole discretion of the recruiting beauty company) of the revenue our company actually receive to our company bank account (after deducting any "finding fees" to our POS/Advertiser Treatwell, bank for transaction posting fees, fees per transaction from our card reader service company, etc.) for when you yourself do treatments at our specialist clinic/salon beauty room. The remaining 30% to 20% of revenue would be kept by us, as your contribution to the cost of the beauty room we rent. We would give you partial access to our company Treatwell account, so you could schedule your own availability, monitor who is booking to treat with you and when. We are flexible on what prices you charge for beauty treatments, as long as we can avoid confusion with our standard company prices.

Having your own stock for beauty products for the treatments you wish to provide is preferred, but we may be able to purchase and refill this for the right candidate on a regular basis.

Having a social media account on Instagram where you advertise you are a beautician is also mandatory.

We prefer candidates with a CRB/DBS check, but can pay this for you if you do not have a recent one and you are successful at interview.

If you are are going to provide waxing, please state what waxing you can and can't do? (E.g. can you do body, face and/or hollywood/brazillian?) Do you have any previous criminal convictions? If so, please state what these are: Salon owners have informed us that there is CCTV on and outside premises, but not within toilets or beauty rooms. On interview day, I understand that I don't have to have photos taken of me in beauty room. However, if I allow photos, they would only be used by beauty company on their company websites to advertise services if I was a successful applicant, otherwise the photos of me will be deleted or sent to me with full license transfer (answer by saying I understand and agree, or I don't understand and/or don't agree). We need you attend an initial estimate 2 hours and 15 minute interview on Sunday 7th September 2025, OR Sunday 14th September, between 1pm and 8pm. During this interview, you will be asked to complete a consultation form for treatment and demonstrate a 30 minute facial or waxing treatment on another applicant, and vice-versa. Please confirm if you can commit to this? Do you wish to either:
1) Do your full weekly shifts all by yourself?

2) Share your shifts with someone else? I.e. on the day, two of you would perform treatments together and share the money received by company accounts?

3) Alternate, do one Sunday morning shift every two weeks, with someone else doing the other week?

Please confirm you can bring in the following on the day of the interview: evidence you have right to work in the UK, NVQ Level 2 beauty therapy certificate, insurance to provide facials and waxing beauty treatments and/or insurance evidence for the beauty treatments that you do wish to deliver.
