Semi Senior Accountant l Up to \xc2\xa335k | South Manchester |Practise l Study Support

Job Overview:

Axon Moore are delighted to be working with an established accounting practise, who are part of a wider FCSA accredited umbrella company, with a growing number of SME\'s, PSC\'s and individual clients. This is a hands-on and integral role in a growing business with ambitious growth plans over the next 12-24 months. The role will suit a career focused and determined person who will be keen to contribute their energy and enthusiasm to the role.The successful candidate will be a semi-senior member of the team responsible for all aspects of accounting and tax for our PSC and SME clients.

Salary: \xc2\xa330-35k

Location: South Manchester

Main Duties:

• Liaising with clients (individuals and businesses) and providing financial information and advice
• Producing year-end accounts
• Completing self-assessment and corporate tax returns
• Reviewing VAT returns before submission
• Support with maintaining accounting records and preparing management information for small businesses
• Looking at tax planning opportunities for current clients
• Supporting SME owners in the growth of their business through pro-active advice and guidance.

Experience:

• ACCA/ACA part-qualified or AAT qualified and be familiar with an accounting practice environment
• Have at least a grade \xe2\x80\x9cA\xe2\x80\x9d in GCSE Maths
• Be gregarious and confident making out going phone calls, discussing all aspects of accounting and generally have a friendly phone manner
• Be able to work equally well alone and with other people and able to manage their own time
• Have a logical and pragmatic approach to solving problems and dealing with queries
• Be ambitious and keen to embrace the new challenge of growing the company\'s client base
