Job Description
A role suitable for a part qualified accountant who is seeking further development. You will receive exposure with larger clients and the ability to be involved with the growth and development of a portfolio - both of which will open plenty of career options.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant financial reporting standards from source documents/records to final accounts for review by the appropriate manager.
- Prepare accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions included in the financial statements.
- Effectively manage time to ensure that jobs are finished within budget.
- Develop and maintain good client relations.
- Liaise with clients directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information.
- Make timely and relevant recommendations in relation to accounting matters, financial reporting and accounting systems in use (including software).
- Assistance with bookkeeping, VAT return preparation
- Prepare control account reconciliations and other month end procedures
- Prepare quarterly management accounts for onward submission to clients
You may be AAT qualified, or have developed your career entirely through experience only to date, or be pursuing ACCA/ACA or other qualifications. You will have a background working within the accountancy practice sector specifically as an Accounts Technician / Senior Accountant, or similar level, Accounts and Tax Senior, experienced Semi - Senior etc. You will bring a mix, or any of year end accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping, VAT etc and be looking to find a new career move, where you can become a key, long term addition to a successful team and firm.
