Salary 31,350 (15.87 per hour)
38 hours per week Monday to Friday
The Semi?Skilled Technician / Oil & Greaser will support the Engineering team by carrying out routine lubrication, basic mechanical assistance, and general maintenance duties to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the fleet. The role requires always working safely in line with legislation, company policies, and depot procedures.
Main Responsibilities
Carry out oil changes and maintenance tasks as per company and vehicle schedules.
Assist technicians with basic mechanical tasks, such as removing panels, preparing vehicles for inspection, and supporting minor repairs.
Perform routine checks, such as fluid levels, tyre condition, lights, belts, and report any defects to senior engineering staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop, pits, and equipment storage areas.
Ensure all lubrication points on vehicles are serviced correctly and in accordance with maintenance intervals.
Complete accurate records of all work carried out, in line with company and Department of Transport requirements.

Essential Criteria
Basic understanding of mechanical principles and vehicle components.
Awareness of Health & Safety requirements within an engineering or workshop environment.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely around vehicles and machinery.
Previous experience in a workshop, transport, plant, or industrial maintenance environment.
Willingness to work towards additional training or qualifications
Ability to gain a PCV licence (training may be provided - desirable)
