This is an experienced practice accountant / semi-senior practice accountant position where you will have a portfolio of your own clients to manage and advise, so supporting clients and the team should be something that comes naturally to you.

Role Responsibilities:



Reporting to the practice Client Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to progress your career. As our business continues to grow so will the role and responsibilities, if you are part-qualified, we will offer study support to help towards you becoming fully qualified. You will need to be knowledgeable and up to date with tax rules & laws. Your primary responsibility will be client facing accounting works for a portfolio of clients which includes PSCs, SMEs, Sole Traders and individuals. Using our Practice Management software, you will be responsible for Bookkeeping, Accounts, VAT, Payroll, Company & Personal Tax Returns and regular interaction with the portfolio of clients, mainly by phone and email, but in person occasionally.

The key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):



Taking over an existing client book and managing new client onboarding Assisting clients with Tax and Accounts planning Completion of bookkeeping and reviews of client's online files to ensure that information is being recorded and allocated correctly Preparation and explanation of year-end accounts, CT600, and Corporation Tax computations for submission Familiar with client payroll Submitting and meeting statutory deadlines for VAT Producing monthly dividend calculations and running payroll giving best tax advice Assisting with closure of companies and giving advice around liquidation and strike-off Completion of Self-Assessment Tax Returns Using FreeAgent & Xero Liaising regularly with clients over phone and email Maintaining client relationships for retention and referrals Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Supporting the Client Manager with day to day operations

Requirements:



Working towards: ACA / ACCA / AAT Qualified Accountant / QBE Proficient in Microsoft Suite Advanced Excel Fully up to date with applicable laws, legislation & regulations Complaint handling and resolution
