Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Practitioner to provide specialised support to children with additional needs, including those with autism and disabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with individual children, delivering personalised care and educational assistance within a nurturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives by supporting their developmental and learning needs through tailored interventions and compassionate care.

Duties



Provide one-to-one support to children with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times Assist children with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and behavioural management Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of teaching staff or specialists Use effective communication skills to engage children and foster positive interactions Support children during classroom activities, playtime, and therapy sessions Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor progress and adapt support strategies accordingly Maintain accurate records of children's development and behaviour as required Promote an inclusive environment that encourages independence and confidence in children with diverse needs

Requirements



Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or disabilities Knowledge of special education practices and behaviour management techniques Experience in toddler care or working with young children is desirable Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and families Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to meet individual needs Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a supportive learning environment Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields are advantageous but not essential A genuine passion for supporting children's development and well-being
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.00-12.32 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 - 15 per week
