Job Description

SEN Administrator



Role Purpose



Provide effective, confidential administrative support to the SENCo and Admissions Manager to ensure the smooth running of SEND and admissions operations. Maintain high standards of record-keeping, communication, and process coordination across the departments.

Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Administration



Deliver high-quality clerical and administrative support to SENCo and Admissions Manager Exercise discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times Support safeguarding practices and attend all relevant training

Admissions & Transitions



Manage the admissions inbox, respond to enquiries professionally Support the intake of new students (incl. paperwork, meetings, assessment logistics) Coordinate open mornings, school tours, and information sessions Input data into Arbor and maintain accurate student records Support FSM applications, school meal arrangements, and in-year transitions

SEND Administration



Support correspondence with families, agencies, and staff regarding EHCPs and provision Compile and manage documentation for Annual Reviews Use MIS systems to track and manage SEND data Attend team meetings, relay updates, and follow up on actions

Other Duties



Ensure GDPR compliance in managing sensitive data Support whole-school processes, including events, break-time duties, and parent liaison Engage in ongoing CPD and training opportunities Assist in planning and coordination across departments as directed

Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications & Experience



Minimum of GCSE (A-C or 9-4) in English Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office and Arbor Experience working in administration under strict deadlines Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills High attention to detail, ability to prioritise and work under pressure Proven confidentiality and data protection awareness

Desirable



Level 2+ qualification in administration or related field Knowledge of EHCP Annual Review process and SEND Code of Practice Experience in education settings or working with students with additional needs

Pay: 27,420.00-29,021.62 per year
