As a Community Learning Support Officer for SEES, you will:
Provide tailored support to address the social and emotional needs of children and young people.
Foster independence and empower learners to engage confidently in community-based activities.
Facilitate and encourage active participation in local community life.
Promote a positive and engaging attitude towards learning, celebrating every achievement.
Deliver effective 1:1 and small group interventions, following individualised learning plans developed by our qualified SEN Tutors.
Build strong, supportive relationships with learners, families, and other professionals.
As a successful Community Learning Support Officer, you should:
Have experience working in a specialist School, provision, or environment.
Have previous experience supporting the emotional and social needs of children or young people.
Have a good experience of working with children with behaviour of concern in the community.
A genuine passion for supporting individuals with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
Be an enthusiastic educator with a dedication to supporting vulnerable young people.
Have strong behaviour management skills and be confident towards managing challenging behaviour.
Have experience supporting young people with autism, down syndrome, learning difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Have a
child only DBS on the Update Service
or be willing to make one through SEES.
