Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring SEN TA to join our team, supporting children with special educational needs - 25 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience in educating and communicating with children, as well as experience working with people with autism. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives and contribute to a dynamic and supportive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

- Support and care for children with special educational needs, including toddlers, in a nurturing and inclusive environment
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans in collaboration with teachers and other professionals
- Provide individualized instruction and behavioural support to students, as needed
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and other caregivers to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting students
- Participate in educational activities, including preparing materials and providing additional support as necessary
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a safe and organized learning space
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop and implement lesson plans
- Demonstrate patience, understanding, and compassion when working with children

Requirements:

- Experience working with children with special educational needs, including autism
- Strong educational background, with a focus on special education
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and other caregivers
- Experience in developing and implementing personalized learning plans
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
- Experience in classroom management and maintaining a safe and organized learning space
- Familiarity with teaching methods and materials for children with special educational needs
- A passion for supporting children with special educational needs and a commitment to their success
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow with the role
