An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEN teaching and learning advisor to join our school improvement team at Hampshire County Council.

The Role:



Teaching and Learning Advisors are responsible for contributing to the achievement and improved performance of children in school in the areas of their specialism and more widely, across the whole curriculum, so that the whole community benefits from better educated, more numerate and literate young people, better able to learn and make positive choices about their actions.

What you'll do:



Teaching and Learning Advisers are expected to:
work with the full range of schools and providers, demonstrating best practice and providing effective advice provide training and consultancy to schools in Hampshire in order to raise standards of achievement for children narrow the gap in achievement between those most vulnerable and the rest of the school population build capacity in Hampshire schools enabling schools to achieve overall outstanding effectiveness

What we're looking for:



You will need to have a strong background in SEND, pedagogical understanding and successful leadership experience of SEND in a school setting. A demonstrable commitment to professional learning, research-based practice and keeping abreast of new initiatives will be important.
