Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEND school in Christchurch, supporting pupils aged 4-11 years.
Our school caters for pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including Autism, Speech and Language issues, as well as challenging behaviour. This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to young people's lives.
The Role
Supporting pupils in the classroom and during daily activities Working 1:1 or with small groups Assisting with personal care where required Supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour related to their needs Helping pupils access learning in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment
The Ideal Candidate
Has experience working with children or young people with SEND or Has a strong passion to begin a career in SEND education Is patient, resilient, and caring Is comfortable with personal care responsibilities Can fully commit to the working hours and term-time schedule
Requirements
Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (term time only) Child and Adult DBS required (support provided to obtain this if needed) Willingness to undertake manual handling and relevant training
