Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in providing high-quality learning experiences for children, particularly those with special educational needs. Duties

Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students. Support children with autism and other disabilities in their daily learning and social interactions. Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to promote a cohesive learning environment. Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing positive reinforcement strategies. Provide individualised support to students, including those requiring special education services. Assist with toddler care when necessary, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to special education and teaching methodologies.

Requirements

Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or disabilities, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. A background in teaching or special education is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being proactive in supporting individual student needs. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children's lives are essential qualities for this role.
