The Role

We are seeking a compassionate, patient and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work under the direction of class teachers and senior staff to support pupils with a range of learning, communication or behavioural needs. Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with delivering learning activities tailored to individual education, health and care plans (EHCPs) Supporting pupils in small groups or one-to-one settings Helping with classroom management, pastoral support, and personal care tasks (as required) Contributing to assessment, monitoring and recording of pupil progress Promoting a safe, supportive and respectful environment for students to learn and grow Liaising with teaching staff, therapists and other support professionals
Person Specification

Are empathetic, patient and resilient Have strong communication skills Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Have an interest or prior experience in special educational needs or inclusive education (desirable but not essential) Hold at least GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (or willingness to achieve) Are committed to promoting the highest standards of care, safety and educational attainment for vulnerable learners
