Footsteps to Futures are an independent provider of children's residential care and education services across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and North Lincolnshire.

We are currently recruiting a

Teaching Assistant

to join the team at "Swallow Grange" an alternative provision providing exceptional care and education for young people aged 4-11 with SEND and SEMH

We understand the unique challenges faced by these students and offer a nurturing environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential. Due to the needs of the students, initially our roles will require some flexibility to work around their timetables as we will provide a tailored approach for each student.

The successful candidate will support students with SEMH and assist the teaching team in creating a positive and supportive learning environment. You will be a patient, caring, adaptable and enthusiastic member of the team, building positive relationships with the students and encouraging educational, social and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with learning activities and classroom routines. Build positive relationships with students, providing emotional support and guidance. Assist with behaviour management strategies. Contribute to the overall well-being of students.

Essential Criteria:

Relevant experience working with children and young people Understanding of the needs of students with SEND and SEMH Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Patience and empathy
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications up to 23,000

38 weeks per year. Hours to be discussed/flexible dependent on the needs of the students
