The Opportunity

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with complex and severe learning difficulties? We are recruiting for a special school dedicated to pupils aged 2 to 19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Autism.

Your Role

Working under the guidance of the class teacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will provide holistic support that goes beyond just academics. You will be a key part of the students' daily lives, helping them navigate the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Learning:

Assist with the delivery of a sensory and engaging curriculum tailored to individual needs.

Promote Independence:

Help develop communication tools and social skills to boost student confidence.

Personal Care:

Assist with daily routines including feeding, toileting, and dressing, ensuring dignity and care at all times.

Emotional Support:

Provide a nurturing presence to help students manage their emotions and well-being.

What We Are Looking For:

Essential:

You must hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.

Passionate:

A genuine enthusiasm for working with children with SEND.

Resilient:

A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to the shifting needs of the school day.

Qualified:

A relevant qualification (Childcare, Education, Health & Social Care) or equivalent hands-on experience.
