is seeking a dedicated

Primary Teaching Assistant (SEN Support)

to join their team

immediately

.

This full-time, term-time role involves providing

1:1 SEN support

to a pupil with mild to moderate Special Educational Needs (SEN), as well as assisting with small-group activities and general classroom tasks. You'll help the child stay engaged, regulated and confident, ensuring they can access learning and make positive progress both academically and socially.

This position is ideal for an experienced TA or a graduate looking to begin a career in education, SEN support, psychology or therapy.

Key Responsibilities

Provide

1:1 learning and behavioural support

to a pupil with SEN Assist the class teacher during lessons, activities, and transitions Deliver tailored interventions and small-group support Help pupils stay focused, engaged and emotionally regulated Follow behaviour and learning plans designed by the SENCo and teaching team Support the creation of a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification

or

be a graduate (2:1+ desirable) Have experience supporting children with SEN (professional or personal) Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to pupil needs Show initiative, good communication skills and a proactive approach Be reliable, positive and confident working closely with staff and external professionals
