Overview



We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated

Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants

to support children across a range of primary and SEND schools in Derbyshire. This role is pivotal in supporting the lead teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities



Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with SEN. Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management. Support with learning activities, behaviour strategies, and personal development. Help create an inclusive and positive learning environment. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.

Requirements



Previous experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable but not essential). A positive, proactive, and patient approach. Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff. Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to apply). Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) desirable.
