Teaching Assistant (with Speech and Language responsibilities)
to join us in September 2025 on a full-time, permanent basis (following a successful probationary period).
Your Role
This role is a unique opportunity for a passionate Teaching Assistant with an interest in supporting children with speech and language needs.
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) to support students with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN). The role involves working closely with teachers and speech and language therapists to implement targeted support strategies, assist in the classroom, and deliver one-on-one or small group interventions.
Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of language development, strong communication skills, and a patient, empathetic approach to helping children overcome learning barriers.
There is an emphasis on being able to work effectively and closely with parents, outside agencies and liaising with class teachers, SENCO and support staff.
