About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work across two key year groups, supporting children with additional needs to fully access the curriculum.

Morning - Year 6 Class

Support two boys with special educational needs: One student with high-functioning ASD and ADHD. Both students benefit from regular movement breaks, clear task breakdowns, and help with maintaining focus. You'll work with both pupils at the same table, providing consistent, engaging, and calm support. The class is lovely, and the students are sweet-natured and eager to learn - they just need steady, reliable guidance throughout the morning.

Afternoon - Year 3 Class

Work 1:1 with a child with ASD who is new to the school, transitioning from the infants. Support will focus on helping the pupil adjust to new routines, remain focused, follow directions, and understand tasks broken down into manageable steps. You'll provide gentle structure, reassurance, and practical support to help the child feel confident and included.
Ideal Candidate

Proven experience working with children with ASD and ADHD, ideally in a KS2 setting. Confident in using strategies to promote focus, attention, and emotional regulation. Skilled in breaking down tasks and delivering differentiated support. Calm, patient, and committed to supporting children's well-being and progress.
Key Details

September start, with trials scheduled for Thursday and Friday this week. Competitive daily rate of 95-100, depending on experience. Long-term role with the potential to become permanent.
