Job Description

Do you have a calm and caring nature and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Worksop is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team after the October half-term break.

About the Role



This full-time role focuses on helping pupils who need extra support to thrive in the classroom. You'll be working closely with the SENCO and class teachers to provide one-to-one and small group support for children with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional or mental health (SEMH) needs. Your input will make a genuine difference to each child's progress, confidence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver tailored support and interventions in line with EHCP targets Promote inclusion and ensure pupils feel safe, valued and engaged Encourage independence, resilience and positive behaviour in all settings Support teachers with lesson preparation and adaptation of learning materials Work collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals

What We're Looking For



Experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally in a primary school A patient, understanding and adaptable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Awareness of safeguarding and positive behaviour management strategies A relevant qualification, such as Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistance or SEND training, is desirable
