SEN Teaching Assistants - Part-Time and Full-Time (Barnet, NW 7)

Start Date: 9th September | 95-100 per day | Specialist Provision | Afternoon Hours

A highly supportive specialist provision in Barnet is seeking

two experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants

to join the team in September. These roles offer an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a small, well-structured setting that caters to children with a range of complex needs.

Role Details

1. Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant

Hours

: 12:00pm - 3:15pm, Monday to Friday

Start Date

: 9th September Supporting a small class of 4-5 pupils with high-level needs including non-verbal Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. Focus on communication support, routine-based activities, and sensory engagement. Candidates must demonstrate confidence in working with pupils with limited or no verbal communication, and an understanding of strategies for managing dysregulation and attention needs.

2. Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (Afternoons Only)

Hours

: 12:00pm - 3:15pm, Monday to Friday This role centres on providing

personal care

, including toileting and changing for children who wear nappies. You will also assist with lunchtime routines and support structured learning activities during the afternoon session.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experienced in working with children with complex SEN, particularly ASD and ADHD. Comfortable with personal care responsibilities. Able to provide calm, consistent support in a low-stimulation environment. Committed to the wellbeing and development of every child.
