We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mentor to support the developmental and educational growth of children within our organisation. Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and group mentoring sessions tailored to individual children's needs, focusing on academic, behavioural, and social development.
Support children with speech therapy exercises and apply behaviour management techniques to promote positive conduct.
Assist with tutoring in subjects such as maths and literacy, ensuring comprehension and engagement.
Implement programmes based on applied behaviour analysis (ABA) principles to support children with special educational needs.
Organise activities that promote physical education, toddler care, and preschool development.
Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to parents or guardians regarding their child's development.
Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and behavioural observations.
Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop personalised learning plans.
Proofread educational materials and assist in creating engaging resources for children.
Skills
Proven experience in early childhood education, special education, or childcare settings.
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, behaviour management strategies, and tutoring methodologies.
Experience with applied behaviour analysis (ABA) is highly desirable.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, including toddlers and preschoolers.
Organised with excellent record-keeping abilities for tracking developmental milestones.
Passion for mentoring children and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Skills in proofreading educational content and developing age-appropriate activities.
