Job Details

Job title:

SEN Teaching Assistant (with morning club)

Salary:

25,185 - 25,583 FTE.

Hours:

Ideally we are looking for someone to work 8am-1pm including half an hour unpaid lunch break (18 hours per week). Term time only (38 weeks) with some additional working required on Inset days, to be agreed in advance for overtime.

Contract type:

Part time, fixed term to July 2025 (with possibe extension depending on funding).

What You Need to Succeed

Supporting pupils

Build positive relationships with pupils and support pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs Adapt communication style to respond to pupils according to their individual needs and assist with the development and delivery of individual education and support plans Promote high standards of behaviour.

Teaching and learning

Contribute to the planning of learning activities for pupils with special educational needs (SEN) including pupils with an EHCP. Provide regular feedback to teachers on pupil progress, attainment and barriers to learning Supervise a class if the teacher is temporarily unavailable

Working with staff, parents/carers and relevant professionals

Communicate effectively with parents and carers under the direction of teachers Collaborate and work with colleagues and other relevant professionals within and beyond the school Develop effective professional relationships with colleagues and contribute to the overall ethos, aims and work of the school

Safeguarding

Work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance and our safeguarding/child protection policies. Promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school

Professional development

Take opportunities to build the appropriate skills, qualifications, and/or experience needed for the role, with support from the school Take part in the school's appraisal procedures
