The Role



Brearley & Co are a leading independent firm of accountants who have been established for over 30 years with offices in Swinton, Sheffield, Doncaster, Dinnington and Barnsley.

The business is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join our Barnsley office.

Due to the highly varied client base, the successful candidate will develop great exposure across all areas of accounting, coupled with working within a highly supportive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities



Supporting the senior management team, duties of the Senior Accountant will include the following:

Oversee an allocation of clients within a varied portfolio Preparation of Statutory accounts Preparation of Management Accounts Corporate and Personal Tax Review of accounts prepared by the team Training and advice on accounting software Assist with staff development and training

Skills and Qualities



The successful applicants must have developed a minimum of 5 year's experience working within the accountancy profession and will be AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified.

Applications from individuals who have developed suitable experience from within the accountancy profession but have decided not to pursue formal studies are also highly encouraged.
