Overview of role





Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of month end closure, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT submissions, corporation tax returns and audit.

The Senior Accountant will also be involved with several RLB entities across Europe and will assist with the preparation of management accounts, balance sheets, revenue recognition, budgets and forecasts.

In addition, the Senior Accountant will also be involved in the annual consolidation process and statutory reporting for the RLB Group.

Role Responsibilities

Assisting with month end closure, ensuring this is completed in line with the timetable. Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, reviewing journal entries and ensuring accurate financial data. Preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet and financial reports for several European entities. Assisting with the development and monitoring of business services annual budgets & quarterly forecasts. Variance Analysis and analytical review. Liaising with auditors/advisors across entities where appropriate. Preparation of monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly VAT returns for different legal entities. Assisting with the year-end consolidation process, statutory reporting, including corporation tax. Local GAAP to UK GAAP Reconciliations. Process Improvements. Assist with RLB Global Board Reporting. Other ad hoc tasks as required.

Candidate Specification:

A qualified Chartered Accountant with 3+ years PQE. Industry experience desirable. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to lead by example and mentor junior staff. Strong analytical skills and a key attention to detail. Ability to work to a timetable and flex workload according to requirements. A great communicator and team player.
