A well-established, accountancy practice is looking for a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant to contribute to both client work and team growth. This role is ideal for someone eager to take on increasing responsibility and expand their career in accountancy.
Role Requirements
Prepare statutory accounts for companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
Produce accurate management accounts, including commentary on variances.
Assist with corporation tax computations and personal tax returns.
Review and prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Support clients with bookkeeping, accounting system queries, and process improvements.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow analysis where needed.
Work alongside directors and senior staff, helping trainees develop through supervision and feedback.
Personal Requirements
ACA or ACCA qualified (newly qualified or up to three years PQE).
Experience in a practice environment, particularly with accounts preparation, management accounts, and VAT.
Solid understanding of accounting standards (FRS 102 and FRS 105).
Confident user of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage, plus Excel.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build good client relationships.
Highly organised, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
