We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at NuVision. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized individual with a strong background in accounting within a fast-paced practice. You'll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of financial statements, and providing strategic advice. The Senior Accountant will also mentor junior team members and work closely with management to ensure smooth and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Client Management: Act as the main point of contact for key clients, providing guidance on financial planning, tax, and accounting matters.
Tax Preparation: Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring that clients meet all tax deadlines and regulations.
Management and Mentoring: Supervise and mentor junior accountants and support staff, providing training and helping them develop their technical skills.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, driving efficiency and ensuring best practices are followed.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, industry regulations, and internal controls to minimise financial and operational risk.
Client Advisory: Offer strategic insights and advice to clients on business growth, cash flow management, and financial decision-making.
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills, with a collaborative and client-focused approach.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial clients.
High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities.
