Compliance Accountant
to join our expanding team.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant who thrives on accuracy, accountability, and the opportunity to mentor junior staff. Reporting to the Partners, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and compliance of accounts and personal tax returns, while helping to maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Review
: Thoroughly review annual accounts prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy, compliance, and presentation quality.
Personal Tax
: Prepare and review personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and submission deadlines.
Liaise with Partners
: Communicate regularly with partners regarding client matters, review findings, and provide professional insights.
Team Support & Training
: Mentor and train junior team members, providing feedback and support to aid their professional development.
KPI Performance
: Work in a focused and proactive manner to meet individual and team KPIs aligned with business goals.
Client Service
: Maintain high levels of client service by managing deadlines, responding promptly to queries, and adding value wherever possible.
What We're Looking For
AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified/qualified (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 3 years' experience in a practice environment
Strong understanding of UK accounting and tax compliance
High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering accurate and timely work
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organised, driven, and motivated by performance targets
Comfortable with cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
