ABOUT THE ROLE


As a senior accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing and completing accounts and tax jobs. We provide professional services to Dental businesses in the UK. We have a team of accountants, consultants and marketers that you will be able to work alongside.

To fulfil this role you must have a natural ability to be efficient, accurate and be at your best working within a team. You will be a key part of the production team, ensuring that work is completed to a high standard within the set timescales. This role includes being an internal support to junior members of the team; helping them with queries, training and any support they need. This is a demanding role which requires you to be proactive, organised and an excellent communicator.

RESPONSIBILITIES


The key responsibilities of the role are:

Reviewing and finalising accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies Finalising self-assessment and corporation tax returns. Reviewing work prepared by junior members of staff. Liaising with clients and team members on a variety of accountancy and commercial aspects. Performing ad-hoc tasks to meet the needs of our clients.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following essential skills:

Part/Full ACA/ACCA qualified; 5 years experience working within a private practice environment; A track record of delivering excellent standards of service to meet client needs; An ability to communicate complex accounting issues; Comfortable working independently and as part of a team; Experience working directly with senior management; Experience managing/mentoring junior staff members; An eye for detail and the ability to think outside the box in finding solutions for client issues; Knowledge of Xero and TaxCalc favourable. Knowledge of Excel a must.
